"Saving the Gulf- One Shot at a Time"

Thanks to the genius idea and planning by Amber M. Phillips, I got to be a part of something awesome yesterday. As many of you have seen via Facebook or Twitter, we held a fundraising event yesterday at the Texaco Walk of Fame in Talladega, AL. Because of the generosity of 5 photographers and all who participated, we were able to raise $1204 to send to aid in the efforts to clean the Gulf of Mexico! It was incredible to witness people come out to help such a fantastic cause.

So proud you were involved in this....starting at your arrival in town by 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Quite impressive.

Given the age of the fundraiser event coordinators, this project was one I know you all care about deeply. It is sad to think the beach as we know it will be forever changed.

I do have faith in the brilliant scientists and engineers to find a way to stop the well and clean the affected areas. But you stepped up to the plate to make your own contribution to saving our beautiful gulf.
